Tim Parrott - Chief Executive Officer
Tim Parrott joined Shuffle Master in February 2009 as Chief Executive Officer
Elect and assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer on March 15, 2009. A founding
Board Member of the American Gaming Association (AGA) which was created in 1995
to represent the casino gaming industry on federal legislative and regulatory issues,
Parrott has been a driving force in gaming and brings to Shuffle Master over 20
years of related experience. With areas of expertise that include creating and executing
successful growth strategies, gaming property development, acquisitions and public
offerings, Parrott most recently served as President and CEO, Americas for Aristocrat
Technologies, Inc. Prior to joining Aristocrat in 2006, he served as the Chairman
and CEO of On Stage Entertainment, a Las Vegas-based production company, and was
responsible for developing and leading the company's restructuring plan. From 1988
to 1998, Parrott was Chairman and CEO of Boomtown, Inc., a northern Nevada-based
gaming operator, and both led the company's public offering and played a significant
role in its eventual merger with Pinnacle Entertainment. Following the successful
merger, Parrott served as a member of the company's Board of Directors and served
on its Executive, Nominating and Compliance Committees until resigning from the
Board to assume his position with Aristocrat.
Linster Fox - Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Fox joined Shuffle Master on August 1, 2009 and has been CFO of both public
and private technology companies for the past 9 years. Most recently, Mr. Fox served
as CFO of Cherokee International LLC., a publicly held international custom power
electronics manufacturer in the energy sector. At Cherokee International LLC., Mr.
Fox helped establish a manufacturing facility in Shanghai, significantly improved
annual cash flow through fundamental process changes and oversaw multiple key areas
including worldwide cash management, treasury and all SEC financial reporting. Prior
to that, Mr. Fox spent 18 years at Anacomp, Inc., a publicly held software, equipment
and services company, and the last five of those years he served as CFO. During
his tenure at Anacomp, Inc., Mr. Fox executed various strategic and financing plans,
including helping to successfully integrate over 30 acquisitions.
Mr. Fox worked in public accounting in Washington D.C. with what is now PricewaterhouseCoopers.
He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a B.S.B.A. from Georgetown University.
David Lopez - Executive Vice President
David Lopez joined Shuffle Master in February 1998 as a marketing analyst and
has since been promoted six times, most recently serving as President of Shuffle
Master Americas. During his ten year tenure, Lopez has played an important role
in Shuffle Master's overall growth and was responsible for managing much of the
Company's sales growth and profitability while building a strong team of leaders
to drive continued market success. He headed the successful launch and rollout of
the ACE® and King® product lines and oversaw the development of the Company's newest
shuffler, the Deck Mate™. Lopez graduated from the University of Nevada, Las
Vegas with a B.S. in Business Administration.
Roger Snow - Executive Vice President, Corporate Product Group Chairman
Roger Snow began his career with Shuffle Master in 2000 as Table Games Product
Manager and has held three other positions with the Company, each with increased
responsibility for overseeing Shuffle Master's entertainment-based products. With
more than 1,000 games installed in casinos throughout the world, Snow has created
some of the most popular table games in the casino industry, including Four Card
Poker, Crazy 4 Poker, Dragon Bonus and Ultimate Texas Hold'em. Before joining Shuffle
Master, Snow was casino administrator at several Las Vegas Strip casinos.
Jerome R. Smith - Executive Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary
Jerome R. Smith joined Shuffle Master as General Counsel in 2001 and was promoted
to Executive Vice President in November 2008 after serving as a Senior Vice President
since March 2004. Prior to joining the Company, Smith served as corporate counsel
for several other companies including America Cinema and Hang Ten International
and represented both public and private companies through his private law practice.
His expertise includes extensive experience with mergers and acquisitions, intellectual
property, corporate governance and general corporate and business transactional
legal matters. Smith graduated from Duke University Magna Cum Laude and received
his law degree from Emory University School of Law where he was elected to the Order
of the Coif Honor Society and was also Notes and Comments Editor of "The Emory
Law Journal".
Coreen Sawdon, CPA - Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer
Coreen Sawdon, CPA joined Shuffle Master in June 2005 as Vice President
of Accounting and was promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer
in August 2007. Effective March 1, 2008, Coreen was named the Acting Chief Financial
Officer while concurrently serving as Chief Accounting Officer. A former Operations
Controller and then Vice President of Finance for GES Exposition Services in Las
Vegas, NV, Sawdon joined Shuffle Master with over 10 years of public accounting
and auditing experience with progressively increasing responsibilities at Ernst
& Young, Coopers & Lybrand and Arthur Andersen. Sawdon has extensive experience
in gaming and is a member of the Nevada and American Institutes of Certified Public
Accountants.
International Management
Ernst Blaha - Managing Director, CARD, A Shuffle Master International Company
Ernst Blaha joined Shuffle Master in May 2004 through the acquisition of
CARD from Casinos Austria AG, where he served as Managing Director. Previously an
employee of Casinos Austria AG since 1974, Blaha was appointed to Managing Director
in 1992 and played an instrumental role in the creation of all CARD-developed products.
A graduate of the HTL Steyr Technical School for Machine Engineering, Blaha is the
inventor of CARD’s first-generation shuffler, the Shuffle Star™, and
co-inventor of the one2six™ and The Easy Chipper®.
Simon Ashley - President and CEO of Stargames
Simon Ashley joined Shuffle Master in Sydney Australia in September 2009 to lead
its Australasian Asia Pacific business. Ashley began his gaming career with Aristocrat
Technologies Inc. in October 2004 as CFO for the Americas based in Las Vegas Nevada.
Previously Ashley was with Macquarie Bank as CFO of the Macquarie Leisure Trust
Group, a diverse leisure business listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. Ashley
is a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) having completed his articles with KMPG in the
UK before migrating to Australia with Price Waterhouse in 1990 and holds a Joint
Honours degree (BSc.Econ) from The University College of Wales, Aberystwyth.
Franz X. Rossbacher - Head of Operations, Shuffle Master Africa
Franz X. Rossbacher joined CARD in December of 2005 as Sales Manager and
was responsible for identifying and developing new business markets in Eastern Europe.
In 2006, Rossbacher was appointed as Head of Operations in South Africa and was
responsible for opening the company's South Africa office. A former entrepreneur
in the office equipment and digital printing sectors, Rossbacher gained a wealth
of experience dealing internationally with several large organizations. He holds
a Master Craftsman's Diploma in Precision Engineering and through his former entrepreneurships
accumulated extensive sales and management experience.
Andrew Macaulay - Executive Vice President, Asia
Andrew Macaulay joined Shuffle Master in July 2008 as Executive Vice President,
Asia for Shuffle Master Asia, the company's Macau based subsidiary bringing with
him more than a decade of commercial experience in Asian markets. Prior to joining
Shuffle Master, Macaulay held positions as General Manager of Business Development
for Aristocrat Leisure Limited and Managing Director of GTECH Australasia, and prior
to joining the gaming industry, was an executive with the NSWFA, Australia's preeminent
lobbying group. Macaulay holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University
of New England, and delivers occasional lectures on gaming at the CCLS unit of Peking
University, where he has been published.
